Your first steps in No Man's Sky

Taking a look at your very first steps into the game of No Man's Sky!

After the intro is over the first thing that you will see is one of the many planet surfaces at the edge of the galaxy. You start off with a broken ship and a basic multi-tool. Main task is to gather resources and repair the ship for space travel.

Step 1: Repair the Launch Thruster

In order to repair the launch thrusters you need to craft four Carite Sheets.

Carite Sheets require iron resource which is a common resource type on all planets.

A total of 200 Iron will be required in order to fully repair the launch thrusters.

Step 2: Repair the Pulse Engine

To repair the Pulse Engines you need to gather 200 units of Heridium, 20 units of Zinc and craft 2 Carite Sheets (200 Iron).

You should be able to find both Heridium and Zinc on the planet surface. 

Heridium can be found in large golden / copper  colored rocks that are fairly large.

Zinc can be found in certain plants that spawn around the surface.

Once you repair the modules, you will need fuel to launch off the surface. Fuel can be found around the area, look for red crystal structures. Fill the modules will fuel and launch out to space!
